Joyce Lyles comes to SGES with a distinguished 20-year career in human resources. Most recently as the director of labor relations manager for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). In that role, she developed and executed Labor Relations strategies for 4 unions (IBEW, IAM, and Raytheon Guards Association). She established and maintained strong and constructive relationships with local, national, and international union leadership and contributed to the success of the business. She also was responsible for union campaigns, positive personnel practices, and culture assessments. Prior to that role, senior human resource manager overseeing multiple breweries outside of Los Angeles, CA for MillerCoors. She provided leadership and executed the human resource strategies to effectively build the organization’s capability to achieve business goals, also leading several labor negotiations. Recruiting, cultural assessments, employee relations, rewards, and recognition. Prior to leaving Raytheon in 2013, she was responsible for developing and executing HR strategies and initiatives, including talent management and workforce planning for Engineering Electronic Center and System Development Center. Consulting Human Resource Generalist for Operations; EHS, Facilities, and Security. She was responsible for developing and implementing the Organization’s strategic Human Resources plan, which provided processes, tools, solutions, and techniques to grow talent in the business. Before joining Raytheon, she was a Human Resource Manager with Kraft Foods. She championed the HR life cycle by administering processes, employee relations, talent management, performance management, succession planning, labor negotiations, and talent acquisition. She spent several years with Pactiv Corporation as the human resource manager and worked significantly on positive employee relations to keep those sites union-free. She successfully defeated a union campaign. She spent her earlier career with Ford Motor Company as a graduate of their Human Resource Rotational Leadership Development Program. She held several roles in labor relations, talent acquisition, and diversity.
